Surprise Her With Something Sweet

Try to find out what her favorite dessert or sweets are. Maybe you know what she’s been craving during her pregnancy- send her that! Or send her something sweet from your favorite local bakery. If you’re local to Buffalo, NY; we recommend Fairy Cakes Cupcakery & Bakeshop!  YUM!

Mom & Baby Basket

When Candace recently had a soon-to-be mom cancel her baby shower, this is what she sent!! She found a super cute purse by Lauren Conrad (we love her!) that she used as a basket- two for one! These are all the goodies she put inside:

  • Dry shampoo, because lets be honest who has the time to wash their hair everyday, especially after having a baby. We recommend this dry shampoo. It’s made by Batiste and it’s free of parabens, sulfates, aluminum, silicone, and dyes.

  • Nursing pads are a must, especially if she plans on breastfeeding. These Bamboobies help stop leaks and are made from organic cotton.

  • A journal. We love this One Line a Day Book: A Five-Year Memory Book. The mom-to-be can start recording her adventure into motherhood. Once the baby is born, she can start to document baby’s first five years of life. It’s great for writing down baby’s growth, new milestones, and her feelings about being a mom. When her baby is all grown up, she can share it with him/her or embarrass them by displaying it at their high school graduation party!

  • A board book for baby and mom to read while snugging. We recommend this You and Me board book. We love what this book represents, which is togetherness and building a bond between child and parent.

  • This print that Candace designed. A frame for her to display the beautiful print in. We love this simple wood frame from Target.

  • This funny yet cute card to write a special note to the soon-to-be mom.

  • A necklace to make her feel even more beautiful. We love this letter initial and birth stone necklace. You can choose to use baby’s birth stone and first initial, if mom is giving away that top secret info! Otherwise, choose the mama-to-be’s first initial and the baby’s birth stone.

  • Pajama party! Everyone loves comfy pjs. Make her feel feminine and comfy with this pajama set from Target. We are also loving these pajamas during the cooler months.

  • A robe for her to easily throw on and feel put together.  We love this floral robe.  It’s a midi length robe, so it provides coverage while still feeling feminine.  This robe is also great for her to take along to the hospital to wear over the not so stylish hospital gowns.  It’ll make her feel covered and girly while walking the hospital halls, waiting for baby to come.

  • Brighten her day with a candle.  Candles make a home feel warm, cozy and smell amazing.  We love the smell of this Goji Tarocco Orange candle!

  • A diaper rash ointment to help sooth her little one’s tushy. We highly recommend Boudreaux's Butt Paste. It is free of dyes, parabens, preservatives, and talc!

  • Make sure her baby is the most stylish baby in the block with these sunglasses!

Pamper Her

It may be a while before she can take a spa day, so send the spa to her!

Help her feel relaxed with these lavender bath bombs from Love Beauty and Planet. The best thing about these, besides their relaxing effects, they are vegan and free of parabens!

Get her a face mask to use while soaking in her relaxing bath.  This face mask cleanses and nourishes, leaving the skin hydrated and softened. It’s also made without artificial fragrances, artificial dyes, parabens, or sulfates.

Candace swears by this bio oil! She put it on everyday and she didn’t get any stretch marks!  Not one!  If you only pick one thing from this list, it must be this!  Soon-to-be mama will be thanking you!

Help her keep her lips soft for all the kisses she’s going to give her baby!  We recommend this lip balm by Laneige.  It contains shea butters, which is amazingly good at locking in moisture.  We also love it because it is free of sulfates, parabens, and phthalates.

Send along this belly butter by Mama Mio. It’s perfect for locking in moisture after her bath and helps relieve that itchy belly.

She may not be able to bend over to reach her toes, but she can still reach her fingers! Help her feel beautiful with this nail polish by Ella and Mila- it is part of their mommy nail polish collection. It is specifically made for pregnant women- how awesome is that?! Send her a matching color of the baby’s gender (if she knows).

Don’t forget about her feet! We love these blush-colored slippers from Target. They are easy to slide on, especially in all hours of the night, once the baby is born.

Lactation Cookies

Find out if she’s planning on breastfeeding. If she is, then you could make her these gluten free lactation cookies. You can send them along with her Mom and Baby Basket or her Pamper Kit or by themselves in this beautiful gift box.

Her Registry

Don’t forget about her registry! She’s going to need the items on it, especially if she’s a first-time mom. You can even shop online and get it directly shipped to her! You don’t even have to leave your house- this is amazing if you’re a fellow homebody like me!

You can always send her a card! We have tons of cards to choose from. Check out our cards for baby and expectant parents . Or call her, shoot her a text, video chat with her.. just knowing you took the time out your day to celebrate or congratulate her will make her feel like a million bucks!
